School Education Credential - Charter
Oak State College - Online
The
Credential in After School Education is a professional certification
program developed through collaboration among Charter Oak State
College, the Connecticut After School Network (formerly CSACA)
, and Connecticut Charts-A-Course. The Credential establishes
educational and experiential competency standards for specialists
in the care and education of children, ages 5 15, outside
of school hours.
Requirements
for the Credential consist of four online courses offered by Charter
Oak State College, and 240 hours of documented experience in after
school education, with submission of a professional resource file
and completion of either a 1-credit or a 3-credit field experience
course, depending on the applicant's level of previous experience.

Health, Education, and Human Development at Clemson University
is moving forward to address the need for providing strong, effective
leaders equipped to optimize the skills of youth and create a

Youth Development Leadership program affords students the opportunity
to receive a comprehensive discipline of study that (1) develops
effective leaders to work with youth to foster healthy living
and preparation for successful adulthood; and (2) expands the
body of knowledge of best practices in serving youth.

NEW Professional Youth Work (certificate) Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences , at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ
The certificate program is intended to expand career options for students, whatever their majors may be. Employment opportunities include human services, community development, youth programs in public, private, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and teaching opportunities in a variety of environmental education/science centers and non-school settings. The certificate is administered through the Education Program in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
